Jane Gilmartin, an alumnus of Ross Stores Inc.’ dd’s Discount division who was recently senior vice president and chief merchandising officer of Levitz Furniture, has joined Duckwall-ALCO Stores Inc. in the new post of executive vice president and chief operating officer. She will be responsible for merchandising, marketing, store presentation and supply chain management and report to Lawrence Zigerelli, who was named president and chief executive officer of Abilene, Kan.-based Duckwall earlier this month. Zigerelli was ceo of Levitz, which has since been liquidated, during much of Gilmartin’s tenure at the store. She’s also held executive posts with Service Merchandise, Bed Bath & Beyond and Linens-N-Things.

She had two young children, she was married and she was expecting that she would have her own life for a good 25 years,” said Claire Foy about playing a young Queen Elizabeth in Netflix’s The Crown.
