PARIS -- Hermes International announced a 16 percent jump in 1993 consolidated sales to $478.9 million (2.85 billion francs) at current exchange rates.
The company said that all activities posted sales increases last year, except for perfumes. No profit figures were released.
The sales results are in line with Hermes's recent estimates. In January, Hermes announced that in December, sales were running 20 percent ahead of December 1992 sales. Based on that, the firm said it expected a 15 percent rise in consolidated sales for the year and a 13.5 percent rise in profits to about $33.6 million (200 million francs).
