LONDON — Swedish fast-fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz said Thursday that July group sales, including value added tax in local currencies, increased by 9 percent year-on-year.

Sales in comparable units, or stores and sales channels that have been in operation for at least a financial year, decreased by one percent.

The total number of stores amounted to 2,940 on July 31, compared with 2,603 at the same time last year.

Percentage sales development for the month of August and total revenue in Swedish kronor for the third quarter will be released on September 16, the company said.
