PARIS — Hennes & Mauritz AB said total sales in local currencies rose 12 percent in June, a slowdown from recent months, after calendar effects knocked three to four percentage points off the gain.

The Swedish fashion retailer provided only a percentage figure, and no longer breaks out same-store sales data. Total sales include value-added taxes.

In May, sales rose 19 percent, following a 17 percent gain in April. Sales in local currencies rose 13 percent in June 2013.

H&M noted its store count came to 3,301 on June 30 versus 2,926 on the same date in 2013.
