PARIS — Hennes & Mauritz AB said sales in local currencies rose by 15 percent in January after a 10 percent increase the previous month.
The Swedish high-street retailer recently stopped publishing same-store sales data.
In January 2013, H&M had reported a 5 percent gain in local currencies. The company only releases percentage changes for monthly sales.
The store count stood at 3,184 locations on Jan. 31, compared with 2,808 on the same date the previous year.
H&M is scheduled to publish the percentage sales development for February and total sales in the first quarter on March 17. Full results for the first three months of the fiscal year will be released on March 27.
