• WEST LEAVES POSEN: Christopher West has exited Zac Posen/House of Z LLC to open a management consultancy business, CS West International Corp., at 47 East 64th Street in Manhattan. Most recently, West worked in business development, marketing and communications for the designer. Prior to joining Zac Posen in 2006, West worked at Procter & Gamble in the U.S., the U.K. and Switzerland. The news of his departure from Zac Posen arrives just weeks after Laura O’Connor was named president and chief executive officer of the fashion house. O’Connor assumed ceo duties from Susan Posen, and the role of president from Barry Miguel, who recently left the company. Susan Posen, who was also vice chairman, is now in the role of chairman of the company.
• SHANGHAI TANG HITS VEGAS: Shanghai Tang has opened a 1,500-square-foot boutique at The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas. The store is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. “This location will further extend our brand’s notoriety for shaping and representing contemporary China design,” said Raphael le Masne de Chermont, executive chairman.
