BABYGAP RECALL: The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall Thursday of more than 20,000 babyGap children’s coats sold in the U.S. and Canada. The toggle fasteners pose a risk of choking for children because they could be detached, the commission said. Three styles of the coats were sold between October 2008 and April 2009 in infant sizes up to 24 months and priced between $20 and $50 at Gap, babyGap and GapKids stores. Gap agreed to offer a full refund for any coats returned, plus a 20 percent off coupon toward the purchase of another item for any coat returned before Aug. 31.
