In the same period, global fabric production posted an increase of 2.6 percent, with Europe, Asia and South America registering increases of 0.1 percent, 1.9 percent and 11.4 percent, respectively. Output in North America fell 1.3 percent, the ITMF noted. Global yarn stock levels were up 2.4 percent and reached the highest level in the past three years, while world fabric inventories advanced in the second quarter 0.2 percent.
