• KARABUS EXPANDS MANAGEMENT: Michael Unger, Farla Efros and Isaac Krakovsky have joined Karabus Management Inc., the retail advisory firm that’s a subsidiary of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Canada, in an expansion of the organization’s executive ranks. Unger, most recently a principal of the consumer products and retail practice of Archstone Consulting, has been named managing director of merchandising optimization. Efros, a veteran of Unilever Canada who was most recently a partner at The Partnering Group Inc., has been appointed managing director of performance improvement. Krakovsky, who’d previously been with Macy’s Inc. and Steven Madden Ltd., has been named vice president of performance improvement. “Mike, Farla and Isaac each bring a combination of retail consulting expertise and a strong retail industry background, which will provide our clients with the most creative yet practical solutions in helping them reengineer their merchandising and inventory management strategies in this new retail landscape,” said Antony Karabus, chief executive officer.
