Former NY & Co. president Ronald Ristau to succeed Walker Boyd upon his retirement.

Ronald Ristau, the former president of New York & Company Inc., has joined Signet Jewelers Ltd. as chief financial officer designate. He will become cfo on June 26 upon the retirement of Walker Boyd from that post. He reports to Terry Burman, chief executive officer of Signet, and will be based at Signet’s offices in Akron, Ohio. Ristau spent 10 years at New York & Co. and was president, cfo and a director at the time of his departure two years ago. He has also held posts at Revlon Inc., Playtex International, United Technologies Corp. and Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. Burman said Ristau’s “detailed hands-on retail experience, as well as his time as the cfo of a NYSE listed company, means he brings valuable experience to Signet.”
