Jane Nielsen has been appointed chief financial officer of Coach Inc., effective Sept. 1.
Nielsen joins Coach from PepsiCo Inc., where she was senior vice president and cfo of PepsiCo Beverages America and the Global Nutrition Group. She also has held senior roles in finance within PepsiCo, including in mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning. Earlier posts include stints at global strategy consulting firm Marakon Associates and as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Jerry Stritzke, president and chief operating officer of Coach, said, “Her expertise and strong operational track record make her a valuable addition to the Coach management team.”
Nielsen said, “Coach is an exceptional company and brand with a disciplined focus on financial results and integrity. I look forward to contributing to its continued strength and momentum.”
The accessories firm said in February that Michael F. Devine will retire as cfo in August after 10 years with the firm.
Lew Frankfort, chairman and chief executive officer, noted Devine’s critical role in developing and executing strategies that have driven Coach’s sales and earnings growth.
