NEW YORK — The Judith Leiber division of the Schottenstein Luxury Group has found a possible buyer in Harry Adjmi after two years on the market, sources said.
Adjmi is in discussions to purchase the brand, according to market sources, although terms of the deal have not been finalized. It was unclear at press time how the Adjmi purchase will be structured, although sources believe it will be a separate firm similar to his acquisition of Jane Cosmetics from the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. in February 2004 via Jane & Co. Adjmi is the chairman and president of One Step Up, an apparel manufacturer for women’s and kids.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
