Jewelry firm Judith Ripka has named industry veteran Charles Jayson as its new president.
Jayson was most recently chief executive officer at Andrew Marc. He also has been president and ceo of Dickson North America and president of Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, the luxury brand's bridge sportswear line.
Jayson will work alongside Judith Ripka co-ceo's Judith Ripka-Berk and Ronald Berk to further define the brand's vision for growth, while overseeing all aspects of the firm's global retail and wholesale business. Jayson replaces Janice Winter, who left in October.
"I look forward to working with the company's talented team to maximize its significant untapped potential, while maintaining the brand's integrity through our strategic worldwide growth plan," Jayson said in a statement. "I have followed the Judith Ripka brand for many years and have always admired its modern elegance and versatility."
The 34-year-old company started as a one-woman operation and evolved into a multimillion dollar business. Headquartered in New York, the firm operates 13 Judith Ripka stores across the country and wholesales to more than 250 stores in the U.S. and abroad. Judith Ripka's offerings vary from its high-end jewelry collection to designer styles for everyday wear.
