• KARABUS ACQUIRED: PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada has acquired Karabus Management, a Toronto-based North American retail consulting firm, from Antony Karabus, founder and chief executive officer, and five minority shareholders. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, but Karabus Management will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of its new parent. Antony Karabus will continue as ceo and report to the Pricewaterhouse leadership group. “This collaboration provides our firm with the resources and global reach needed to allow us to capitalize on the substantial market opportunities in the retail industry,” Karabus said. The firm’s 50 retail consultants work with department and specialty stores and other retailers.
