LOS ANGELES — LaForce + Stevens, the New York-based marketing communications firm, is opening LaForce + Stevens LA, to be based in West Hollywood.
The new branch will be headed by account director Kate Olsen, formerly of Couch Nobelius and Harrison & Shriftman public relations agencies. She will provide West Coast services to such clients as Coty, Iman Cosmetics, H&M, Banana Republic, Swiss Army, Perry Ellis, Doo.ri, Bill Blass and Rebecca Taylor, the last two of which will implement expanded celebrity dressing programs in addition to integrated marketing in television and movies.
"So many clients want representation by a New York-based agency but celebrity dressing has become essential, and can only be fully realized in Los Angeles. At the same time, we hope to continue and grow relationships with production studios and product placement such as the partnership with Banana Republic and 'Project Runway,'" said founding partner James LaForce.
LaForce, with partner Leslie Stevens, produced store opening events for Georg Jensen and H&M last year and created a partnership with Invista and the Independent Spirit Awards.
