New York Fashion Week has become a veritable beauty free-for-all, as hair, makeup and even nail brands vie with each other for backstage exposure and sponsorship. As always, MAC emerged as the dominant behind-the-scenes name this season with a whooping 87 shows, but others, including Maybelline New York, the official beauty sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week; Bumble and bumble, and CND, made a strong showing. This list does not include companies that sponsored one or two shows, which are listed below.
* Two shows each: Clé de Peau Beauté, Beauty.com, L’Oréal Professionnel, Mehron, Philip Pelusi, Tarte, Wella, Youngblood. One show each: Avon, Ellis Faas, Estée Lauder, Hourglass Cosmetics, Laura Mercier, Sally Hansen, Sultra.
