Information technology executives in the retail and consumer products industries are feeling a bit less confident in their ability to repel cyber attacks as threats to security increase and financial commitments to combat them waver.
PricewaterhouseCoopers surveyed 996 IT officials in the sector around the globe and found that 72 percent of them were either very or somewhat confident that their companies’ information security activities are effective, down from 76 percent in 2010 and 80 percent in 2009.
