NEW YORK -- Gail E. Pisano has been promoted to senior vice president and general merchandise manager at Saks Fifth Avenue, overseeing accessories, jewelry, handbags, shoes and intimate apparel.
She succeeds Anne Keenes, who has left the company, as reported.
Pisano has been vice president and divisional merchandise manager of jewelry, accessories and handbags. Pisano reports to Rose Marie Bravo, Saks' president.
Pisano joined Saks in 1988 as vice president and divisional merchandise manager of shoes and assumed her most recent role in March. She started her career at Bloomingdale's, where her last post was group buyer for shoes, and moved to Macy's as vice president and administrator of women's shoes before joining Saks.
