S&K Famous Brands is about to be history.

Starting Thursday, going-out-of-business sales will begin at the company's 105 men's wear stores. Gordon Brothers Retail Partners was the highest bidder at an auction Tuesday in Richmond, where the retailer is based.

The sales are expected to last eight to 12 weeks, according to Jonathan Tibus of
Alvarez & Marsal North America and chief restructuring officer of S&K.
