NEW YORK — Thom Browne is building a team for growth.
The designer, who focuses on men's wear for his namesake business and just unveiled the Black Fleece collection for women and men for Brooks Bros., tapped Tom Becker as chief executive officer and Thomas Cunningham as chief financial officer, effective April 2. Both are newly created posts.
Most recently, Becker was a vice president and senior strategy manager at the Treasury Services New Business Development Group at J.P. Morgan. Before that, he was director of the Interactive Business Development division at American Express. At Thom Browne, Becker will oversee the day-to-day operations, as well as spearhead the five-year-old business' future growth strategy. He will report directly to Browne.
Cunningham was most recently a lender in the Commercial Loan division at Union State Bank. Before that, he operated a better men's line called Sacque Suit, and worked as an editor for DNR and financial reporter for WWD. Cunningham will report to Becker.
