Eric Wiseman is reorganizing the executive ranks at VF Corp. to coincide with his transition to chief executive officer on Jan. 1. Wiseman is currently president and chief operating officer.
The changes are being spearheaded by the departure of George Derhofer, senior vice president of global operations. The company said Derhofer will retire at the end of the year after 13 years with the company. There are no plans to name a replacement.
"George brought to VF a rare combination of business, operations and financial skills, together with an inspirational leadership style and a true passion for the business," said Mackey McDonald, chairman and outgoing ceo, in a statement.
Ed Doran, president of VF's imagewear segment, and Boyd Rogers, president of supply chain, will now report to Wiseman. Martin Schneider, chief information officer, will report to Bob Shearer, chief financial officer.
Derhofer was the cfo of Nutmeg Industries when the company was acquired by VF in 1994. From 1996 to 2000, he served as president of VF's knitwear division before being appointed chairman of the knitwear and workwear coalitions. In May 2005 Derhofer was tapped to head a new global supply organization with responsibility for all manufacturing, sourcing, operations and information technology.
VF also said Mike Gannaway has been named vice president of Direct/Customer Teams, responsible for coordinating retail and e-commerce strategies among VF's business segments. He will also take on responsibility for the outlet division. Steve Fritz, president of the outlet division, will report to Gannaway, who has been serving as vice president of customer management.
