WASHINGTON — Rebounding from steep discounts at the end of last year, retail prices for apparel rose a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent in January, the Labor Department said Friday in its Consumer Price Index.


But deflation risks remain and retail apparel prices last month fell 0.9 percent compared with a year earlier.
