WASHINGTON — Congressional aide Kim Glas is the leading candidate to oversee the Commerce Department’s efforts to promote the domestic textiles and apparel industry, sources said Tuesday.
Glas, who is legislative director for Rep. Mike Michaud (D., Maine), is poised to be named the deputy assistant secretary for textiles and apparel, a position that doubles as chair of the interagency Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements.
