PARIS — LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton continues to show green ambition.
The French luxury group said it is renewing its partnership with the European Commission via “Green Week,” an environmental initiative staged in-house, which coincides with the commission’s conference of the same name, billed the biggest annual conference on European environmental policy.
This year’s event, which kicked off today, is slated to run until June 5.
“Private sector initiatives are crucial if we are all to make real progress in improving the environment,” said EU’s environment commissioner Janez Potocnik, lauding LVMH and its brands for their “long-term commitment” to the issue.
Both parties are to focus on “circular economy, resource efficiency and waste” this week.
