WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear a case in which Costco Wholesale Corp. is challenging Omega SA’s right, as a foreign manufacturer, to use copyright law to control the distribution and resale of the watchmaker’s imported products.

The decision means Costco will have the opportunity to make the case for preventing Omega from restricting middlemen from selling its watches to discounters like Costco.
