WASHINGTON — Bruce Raynor, general president of UNITE HERE plans to go before a federal judge as early as today to ask for an injunction against John Wilhelm, president of the hospitality division, who staged a predawn entry into the union’s Manhattan headquarters on Friday.
It is the latest move in an internal power struggle between Wilhelm and Raynor that led to the breakup of UNITE HERE into two entities and tied up millions of dollars worth of assets in federal court. (UNITE HERE was founded in 2004 in a merger of the Union of Needletrades, Industrial & Textile Employees and the Hospitality Employees & Restaurant Employees International union.)

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
