Page, who has served as acting president for the past five months, reports to founder and chief executive officer Kevin Ryan. He takes up the reins from Gilt’s former president Carl Sparks, who was named president and ceo of Travelocity in April.
Even though Page was cfo at the firm since just April 2010, he oversaw two acquisitions, a round of financing and the addition of a distribution facility. Prior to joining Gilt, he was chief operating and financial officer at PlayPhone Inc. and before that cfo and senior vice president of business strategy at StubHub Inc.
In May, Gilt raised $138 million in new funding, valuing the online retailer at $1 billion. At the time, Ryan said the company’s annual revenues would range from $400 million to $500 million.
