L’Oréal USA has named Angela Bennett to lead its La Roche-Posay skin-care brand in the U.S.
Bennett’s new role is that of vice president of the brand. In her new position as head of La Roche-Posay, her specific charge will be to take the brand into its “next level of evolution,” expanding its national retail distribution with a focus on sun-care and acne consumers as well as digital programs, while partnering with dermatologists and retailers, said Mike Larrain, president of L’Oréal USA’s Active Cosmetics Division.
“Angela has already been a great contributor to La Roche-Posay’s expansion amongst consumers and dermatologists,” said Larrain. “She is a strong leader and a true asset.”
Bennett spent four years at the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. before joining L’Oréal USA in 2002. Upon arriving at L’Oréal USA, Bennett began her marketing career with Maybelline, spending three years working with major franchises within the brand in the face and color cosmetics categories. Bennett next headed to the Consumer Products Division of L’Oréal USA, where she worked on Garnier skin care for six years, serving most recently as head of Garnier Skincare Operational Marketing.
The La Roche-Posay brand came to the U.S. in 1999 and was sold solely through dermatologists until 2007. At that time, it entered select pharmacy and drugstore retailers.
Etro’s show, titled “The Tree of Life,” was a celebration of the house’s 50th anniversary. “My father founded the company in 1968, which was the year of counterculture and psychedelia.
