PARIS — Christian Dior Couture said Tuesday it has named Arnaud Bazin managing director of its leather goods, shoes and accessories division. This confirms a report in WWD on Sept. 5.

Bazin, a longtime executive at Chanel, will report to Christian Dior president and chief executive officer Sidney Toledano. He is to assume some of the responsibilities previously handled by Delphine Arnault, who recently left Dior, where she was deputy managing director since 2008, to become second-in-command at Louis Vuitton.

A graduate of the ESCP business school in Paris, with an MBA from Drexel University, Bazin has held a variety of positions in leather goods marketing and product development at Hermès and Chanel, and was most recently merchandising director at Chanel fashion.
