Body Central Corp., a specialty retailer for value-priced apparel and accessories, named Brian P. Woolf chief executive officer and a member of its board, succeeding Tom Stoltz, the interim ceo, who continues as chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Woolf has more than 40 years of experience in specialty and department stores and most recently was group president for Lane Bryant, Lane Bryant Outlet Stores and Cacique. He led all aspects of the business, including merchandising, sourcing, design and store operations. Earlier, Woolf spent eight years as the ceo of Caché Inc., which on Tuesday named Jay Margolis as chairman and ceo. Woolf was also an executive vice president of merchandising for The Limited and spent more than 20 years at Macy’s and the former Federated Department Stores at the start of his career.
