LONDON — Burberry has appointed Julian Payne as vice president, p.r. and corporate relations, the company said Wednesday. Payne joins Burberry from London's BBC, where he was head of press and media relations, and prior to that had held roles at BSkyB and the BBC’s Radio 1 channel. Burberry described Payne as “an expert in brand and corporate communication [who] will help drive the global communication strategy in the next phase of Burberry’s evolution.”
Payne’s role, a new position at Burberry, has a global remit, and is effective immediately. Payne will report to Sarah Manley, chief marketing officer at Burberry.
