PARIS — French retailer Carrefour on Thursday revealed three appointments as part of what it described as a drive to decentralize management of its supermarkets and hypermarkets.
Pierre-Jean Sivignon, chief financial officer, will take on the additional duties of overseeing the group’s branches in Spain and Italy, effective Oct. 1.
Jérôme Bedier, group general secretary, will also supervise international partnerships, effective Jan. 1. Gérard Lavinay will oversee Carrefour’s activities in Northern Europe, including Belgium, Poland and Romania, effective Oct. 1.
