Michele M. Cloutier resigned as brand president for Chico’s FAS Inc. Wednesday, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing from the company.

Cloutier joined the firm in September 2006 as executive vice president and general merchandise manager for the Chico’s brand and was promoted to the company-wide position in October 2007. Prior to her time at Chico’s she held executive positions at AnnTaylor Stores Corp. and Gap Inc.

Cloutier is entitled to severance and other benefits, said Chico’s, adding that her departure was not the result of a disagreement with the company.
