Christopher Heyn has been named chief executive officer of Southern Tide. He succeeds Jim Twining, who left the firm in October.
Most recently, Heyn was ceo and chairman of Summit Golf Brands. During his tenure, he helped reinvigorate Summit Golf to become the third-largest golf apparel company in the U.S. Earlier, he served as chief operating officer and managing director for DC Management Group, as well as president of Nautica Sportswear, Nautica Jeans Co. and Nautica Apparel Inc.
Southern Tide is a Greenville, S.C.-based lifestyle apparel brand, best known for its Skipjack Polo. It produces apparel and accessories for men, women and children. It sells its products to more than 750 retailers in the U.S., Virgin Islands and Bermuda, as well as southerntide.com.
Peter Kim's Los Angeles-based premium denim line has always had its finger on the pulse of youth.
