Gaetano Sallorenzo has left his post as president and chief executive officer of ck Calvin Klein sportswear and ck jeans for Europe and Asia.
Market sources indicate he's heading to Replay, but the Italian denim and sportswear company declined comment Friday.
Sallorenzo, who was based in Florence, is succeeded by Thomas Axmacher, president of Calvin Klein Underwear Europe, as managing director of Calvin Klein's European business, which is owned by the Warnaco Group Inc.
"The move centralizes all the commercial aspects of the business in the U.K. and is consistent with the company's strategy to leverage our resources across the enterprise," said a spokeswoman for Warnaco.
Based in London, Axmacher will report directly to Joseph Gromek, Warnaco president and ceo.
Sallorenzo joined Warnaco in February 2006 when the company bought the international Calvin Klein businesses from Fingen SpA. Prior to that, he'd been with Giorgio Armani Corp. for five years, leaving as president of sales and marketing for the Armani Group's U.S. subsidiary.
Last week, Marco Bortoletti resigned as ceo of Fashion Box, the holding company of the Replay, Replay & Sons and We Are Replay brands. The company said last week it plans to name a new group ceo shortly.
