PARIS — Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., parent of Uniqlo, Comptoir des Cotonniers and Link Theory, said it had appointed Chrystel Abadie-Truchet as chief operating officer of Comptoir des Cotonniers.
The appointment was effective in May but was only announced Monday. Abadie-Truchet joins the company from Children Worldwide Fashion — whose licenses include Burberry, Chloé and Little Marc Jacobs — where she held the post of chief executive officer from 2007 to 2011, having previously worked as coo of Cacharel.
Prior to that, she specialized in cosmetics, spending five years at Puig, where she was coo of Puig France in charge of Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne and Payot, and eight years at Yves Saint Laurent Parfums.
“Thanks to her wealth of experience in the management of international brands, not just from a design and image perspective, but also in terms of commercial strategy and international deployment, Chrystel Abadie-Truchet will be able to offer Comptoir des Cotonniers expertise that will take the brand to a new stage in its global development,” stated Elisabeth Cunin, ceo of Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam.
