LONDON — Condé Nast International has named Thomas Bucaille to the newly created post of director of talent, the company said in a statement Monday.
Condé Nast said Bucaille will be the organization’s “senior executive for human resources matters,” with a focus on recruiting, training and retaining talented staff worldwide.
Bucaille, a French native, will take up his London-based position in January and report directly to Jonathan Newhouse, chairman and chief executive of Condé Nast International.
“As the media and creative industries evolve, we are in a battle for talent — and winning that battle is more important than ever,” Newhouse said.
Bucaille comes from Christian Dior Couture, where he has held the position of worldwide human resources director since 2005. He spent most of his career at L’Oréal, where he had a number of managerial and human resources posts.
