Funeral services were held March 9 for Peter DeGaetano, a top executive who worked for 40 years on the supplier side of the cosmetics industry.

A resident of Mahwah, N.J., DeGaetano died unexpectedly in his sleep March 4, according to a spokeswoman at Boom Creative Development, a firm headed by his brother, longtime cosmetics executive Art DeGaetano.

The cause of death was heart failure, according to the spokeswoman. DeGaetano was 63.

During his career, he held a series of senior level executive positions, including posts as vice president of sales at Corona Plastics, LIR/Henlopen and Risdon. He also was senior vice president of sales and marketing at Cultech and Topline, and most recently executive vice president of sales and marketing at Verla International.

In addition to his brother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Ann DeGaetano, a son, Arthur, and mother, Nancy. He also had two grandsons, Peter and Matthew.
