The Doneger Group has added a third senior merchant to its team.
Patty Leto, who served most recently as president of Energie, Currants and the L.E.I. Knit division of the Jones Apparel Group, has been named senior vice president of merchandising for the company. She joins Kathy Bradley-Riley and Roseanne Cumella as Doneger’s top merchandising tier.
“This is a brand new position designed to strenthen our company,” said Abbey Doneger, president.
The merchandising responsibilities will now be split among the three women with Leto overseeing women’s accessories, intimate apparel and men’s; Bradley-Riley responsible for women’s sportswear, and Cumella in charge of dresses and outerwear. Leto will report to Doneger and will work closely with Barbara McGraw, divisional merchandise manager of accessories and intimate apparel and Allison Levy, dmm of children’s and men’s, coordinating the day-to-day operations, market analysis and client servicing.
“Our effort is to always provide clients with seasoned industry expertise and strong merchandising and business direction. Patty has an extensive background in both retail and wholesale.Her knowledge and experience will be a strong complement to our merchandising team,” Doneger added.Leto, who joined Jones in 2002, started her career in the Macy’s Executive Training Program and held several executive merchandising positions within the retail organization.
