Elie Bernheim has been named chief executive officer of Raymond Weil, the independent Swiss watch brand founded by his grandfather.
As ceo, Bernheim succeeds Olivier Bernheim, his father, who becomes president of the board of the company and will serve as a consultant. Elie Bernheim, who joined the family business in 2006, will continue to directly oversee Raymond Weil’s marketing department,
The younger Bernheim is the grandson of Raymond Weil, who founded the company in 1976 and died in January at the age of 87.
Olivier Bernheim joined the firm in 1982 and became ceo in 1996.
