Eric Hertz has joined the International Council of Shopping Centers as staff vice president, director of education. He will oversee ICSC’s education programs and expand them to new constituencies such as asset-management executives and senior retailing executives.
Hertz previously ran his own consultancy, the Center for Executive Development. Prior to that he was director of executive education for the Fashion Institute of Technology.
ICSC chief executive Michael P. Kercheval said Hertz will adapt the organization’s education programs to changing industry needs, creating customized programs for ICSC-member companies and forging relationships with universities.
Also, Sandhya Espitia joined ICSC’s education staff as director, new business development, global education programs. Espitia was senior program development officer for LASPAU Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Harvard University.
