Gigi Howard has joined Dallas-based skin care company Beauty Biosciences as director of publicity and product development, a new position. She reports to Jamie O’Banion, president and creative director. Howard previously was director of public relations for Natura Bissé International Inc., in nearby Irving, Tex.

Beauty Biosciences is the new name for the company launched a year ago as Organicare, a USDA-certified organic skin care line carried at Nordstrom, Dillard’s and other stores. Organicare will now be one of the brands under the umbrella of Beauty Biosciences.

Howard made the move to be more involved with product development and helped launch a lash thickening and darkening serum, Lash Allure MD, last September, plus Rewind Time: Age Defying Vitamin A Treatment serum in October. A vertically integrated company, Beauty Biosciences is also working on a second natural skin care line it expects to introduce by next summer. The company does not use parabens, petrochemicals or prostaglandins in its products.
