NEW YORK — Gilt Groupe has a new chief executive officer.
The online flash-sale site on Thursday named Michelle Peluso, currently the global consumer chief marketing and Internet officer at Citigroup, its new ceo. Peluso, who has been on the company’s board since late 2009, takes on a role that had been held by founder Kevin Ryan, who will become chairman. Susan Lyne, Gilt’s chairman, will now become vice chairman.
“I’m tremendously excited to be leading a company with a brand I love and a team I’ve come to greatly admire,” said Peluso. “Gilt has done a terrific job establishing itself as one of the most innovative online shopping destinations and I am looking forward to continuing to build on Gilt’s growth and success.”
Etro’s show, titled “The Tree of Life,” was a celebration of the house’s 50th anniversary. “My father founded the company in 1968, which was the year of counterculture and psychedelia.
