Haggar Clothing Co. has promoted two executives within its merchandising and sales organizations.

Nancy Dowling has been promoted to vice president of merchandising and design, a position that has been vacant for some time. For the past three years, Dowling has been director of design for the men’s casual division of the Haggar brand. Under her tenure, the brand has increased its market share by more than 16 percent and added several new products and collections to the mix.

In addition, Tad Parnell has been promoted to senior vice president and national sales manager. A 25-year veteran with the company, Parnell most recently worked with J.C. Penney Co. Inc., Stage Stores and other retailers to achieve “multiple years of compounded growth,” according to the company.

“This is an exciting time for Haggar. We’ve had remarkable brand and product performance over the last three years,” said Tim Lyons, president of Haggar Clothing Co. “Elevating Tad and Nancy to these key leadership positions is part of a strategic alignment initiative to position Haggar for accelerated growth in the near and long term. Both are extremely competent performers with long histories of strong leadership and success. I am thrilled for Tad and Nancy and anticipate great results from them and the teams they will be leading.”
