PARIS — Nayla Hayek has been appointed chief executive officer of U.S. luxury jeweler Harry Winston Inc. with immediate effect, its parent company The Swatch Group Ltd. said Friday.
She succeeds Frédéric de Narp in the post.
Hayek is also chairwoman of The Swatch Group, the world’s biggest watchmaker, based in Biel, Switzerland. She was nominated chairwoman of Harry Winston Inc. when The Swatch Group acquired the company in March.
As reported, the deal for the Harry Winston brand and all its jewelry and watch activities was for an enterprise value of up to $1 billion, which included the brand’s pro forma net debt of up to $250 million.
