PARIS — Hermès International has promoted Florian Craen to executive vice president of sales and distribution and named him a member of the executive committee, the company said Tuesday.
Craen, who officially took up his post on Sept. 1, is succeeding Beatriz Gonzalez-Cristobal.
A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur who has also completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, Craen has been with the French leather goods specialist since 1997, where he started as regional manager.
He subsequently held positions as managing director of the travel retail division and head of the company’s U.K. branch, before being appointed managing director of the North Asia area, comprising China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Korea, in 2009.
Craen will report to chief executive officer Axel Dumas.
