BERLIN – Andreas Stockert has been named chief operating officer of Hugo Boss AG, effective June 1.
He succeeds Hans Fluri, who left the post at the end of March to become chairman of Red & Black Lux S.à.r.l, the parent company of the Valentino Fashion Group and major shareholder of Hugo Boss.
Last December, Boss said Fluri would be succeeded by Klaus-Gerhard Bierbrauer, a former operations team member of the Gucci Group. However, on Feb. 5, Boss announced it had withdrawn the appointment. There was no official explanation.
Stockert will be responsible for purchasing, production and logistics for the German fashion house. He was most recently senior vice-president for Kühne + Nagel Management AG, a Swiss international forwarding company where he oversaw logistics and supply chain management for fashion and consumer goods clients.
