Iconix Makes Changes to Executive Team

There’s been a changing of the guard at Iconix Brand Group Inc.’s men’s division.

There’s been a changing of the guard at Iconix Brand Group Inc.’s men’s division.

Seth Horowitz, who formerly served as president of the men’s division, has been promoted to chief operating officer of the corporation and Rodney Hutton has joined Iconix as executive vice president, charged with overseeing men’s. Hutton had been chief merchandising officer for Anne Klein Brands where he was responsible for global merchandising, marketing, licensing and product development. He had also served as a principal at Fashion Iconic LLC, a brand consultancy; was senior vice president and general manager of Karl Lagerfeld, and vice president of merchandising for Giorgio Armani Corp.

At the same time, Jeff Lupinacci has been named chief financial officer of the New York-based manufacturer.

Lupinacci replaces Warren Clamen, who recently resigned from the company to pursue other opportunities. He joined the firm in March 2005.

Horowitz joined Iconix in April 2012 as president of the men’s division and is credited with creating an international business model for the company’s Umbro division and relaunching the Starter brand. Before that, he had been president of Modell’s Sporting Goods as well as chairman, chief executive officer and president of Everlast Worldwide Inc.

“As we continue to grow our worldwide footprint through our powerful portfolio of brands and new acquisitions, it’s critical that we have strong talent in place to ensure the ongoing success of our company,” said Neil Cole, ceo of Iconix.
