ESCADA EXIT: The chairman of the Escada AG supervisory board, Hans-Jörg Rudloff, has resigned for personal reasons. The German fashion house said the board, at its regular meeting next week, will take the necessary steps regarding a successor. The chairman of Barclays Capital, London, since 1998, Rudloff also sits on the board of two Russian firms. Industry sources said he is a close ally of major Escada shareholder Rustam Akzenenko, who propelled a change of top management in May. Escada chief executive Jean-Marc Loubier is also a member of the supervisory board. The company has denied speculation that Loubier is facing mounting pressure from Akzenenko. Escada will release preliminary figures for fiscal 2006-2007 on Dec. 20.
