Real estate executive and budding fashion entrepreneur Ivanka Trump has taken the next step in building her lifestyle company.
Trump has signed an exclusive licensing deal with CHF Industries to create the Ivanka Trump home collection. Under the agreement, CHF Industries will manufacture, market and distribute sheets, duvets, shams, bedding accessories, window treatments, bath accessories, bath towels and rugs bearing the Ivanka Trump name. The line will be sold in the U.S., as well as select international markets.
“As a businesswoman and mother, and grounded in the art of hotel, hospitality and design, Ivanka already has the insight necessary to build a commercial and unique collection for the home,” said Joan Karron, executive vice president of CHF Industries. “Her style has been identified as ‘warm modern,’ a combination of luxury and glamour with a modern sensibility, perfect for today’s customer.”
Trump said of CHF, “They are the market leaders in this category, and I am confident that they will execute my vision flawlessly.” Trump said they will collaborate closely to capture her design aesthetic. The bedding and bath collection will be available for distribution to upper-tier department and specialty stores in spring 2014.
CHF, a 90-year-old home textile company, produces home lines for such brands as Donna Karan, PureDKNY, Kate Spade New York, Marc Ecko and Daisy Fuentes.
Trump is also in discussions with potential home furnishings partners to launch dinnerware and glassware, silverware, giftware and a collection of furniture.
As reported, Trump signed a deal with G-III Apparel Group Ltd., to develop sportswear, dresses, suits, suit separates, sleepwear, activewear, jeanswear and intimates. The collections will be in stores in spring 2014. She has also created her first eau de parfum women’s scent in a deal with Parlux Fragrances Inc. The fragrance hit stores in December, and will be rolled out for spring. Trump, who is a principal in Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, also has deals for footwear, handbags, outerwear and sunglasses. Trump is also executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization, where she’s charged with domestic and global expansion.
